FAQs COMMON QUESTIONS
• How do we make reservations for your serveces?
• It is a very easy process: just click on reservation link from the main page and you will find my e-mail with the info you have to add if necessary. Also feel free to ask anythink you need. You find my e-mail also in contacts link
• When at the Vatican Museums will you be able to let us in skipping the line?
• We never promise our customers to be able to skip the line at the Vatican Museums also because there are now strict controls at the entrance. All we do is driving our customers in front of the Vatican Museums around 01:45 / 02.00 pm when normally people are having lunch. That is the time of the day when the line is surely shorter.
• Hiring one of your tour-guides for a guided tour of the Vatican will allow us to skip lines?
• Hiring one of our tour-guides for a guided tour of the Vatican will not allow you to skip the lines but having an expert and knowledgeable person escorting you in there will allow you to have great explanations about what you are going to see. A tour-guide will also be very useful not to get lost inside the huge Museums therefore avoiding likely delays.
• Do you do tours of the Vatican on Saturdays?
• We highly reccommend not to tour the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel on Saturdays! The Entrance opens later to let private groups in and the Museums close sooner in the afternoon. This causes very long and slow lines at the entrance and I strongly believe that lining at the Vatican Museums on Saturdays would be just a waste of time. You will not have time for the rest of the tour.
• When are the Vatican Museums closed?
• They are generally closed every Sunday a part from the last Sunday of every month.

• Are the Vatican Museums the only way to get to the Sistine Chapel?
• Yes they are and that is why we have long lines at the entrance!
• When is the Accademy closed in Florence?
• It is generally closed on Mondays and it is a pity because the Dadiv (statue by Michelangelo hosted in there) is surely something unbeliveable.
• How much are we supposed to tip?
• This is a very personal habit. In Italy the tip is not deeply rooted in our culture but it is surely a nice way to show our DRIVING GUIDES – TOUR GUIDES – TOUR ESCORTS – CULTURAL ESCORSTS how much you appreciated their service. The more you like the service the more you can tip them. If the service is awesome due to their professionalism, punctuality and personality you are more than free to give them a big tip!
WHO ARE THEY?
Tour guides: surely very knowledgeable, according to the Italian law they have to be licensed. That means that they have to get a permit to be tour guides through an oral and written exam many times very hard and peculiar. Tour guides are the only ones that can give explanation - territorially speaking - within the monuments or museums of interest. You can see them for example in the Sistine Chapel or in the Colosseum. They are normally the most expensive to be hired per hour.
Tour Escorts: according to the Italian law, they have to be licensed, too but the exam to get the permit is much easier. They cannot give explanations within the monuments. Their preparation and historical/cultural/art education is very high but they can just give explanation when on busses or minivans. Their job is more various: they follow groups basically everywhere and they take care of all bureaucratic things (check in/check out/ tickets/ meeting places, etc).
Tourist Interpreter: they have a lot of knowledge too, but their job is 100 % based on their language education. They are nothing more than linguistic mediator. To be a tourist interpreter you have to certify a certain level of education.
Driving Guides: this is a pretty new figure that operates in this field. Driving Guides are very expert drivers that show you around with those very fancy and cozy vehicles with a deep knowledge of the Italian History and Art. Almost all of them are perfect bilingual.
This is more or less what the Italian Tourist Legislation says. Obviously trespasser will be prosecuted with big fines or confiscation/revocation of their permit.
