The tour will start from your hotel in Rome at 08.00 o'clock am where one of our expert bilingual Driving guides will be waiting for you at the reception. After exiting the city through its northern part, we will drive across two regions: Lazio and Umbria, before reaching Florence that belongs to Tuscany (name of the region). Florence is a wonderful city, an open-air museum. Cradle of Renaissance and home of the De Medici Family and Dante, Florence is located on both banks of the Arno River and it is also surrounded by mountains, the Italian Appennines.
Our first stop will be up on top of the highest place of the city, on the so-called Michelangelo Square to give you and initial wonderful taste of the city from a different point of you.
After this quick stop we will all go downtown for the visit to the Accademia Gallery, that hosts an incredible work of art by Michelangelo, the DAVID.
From there it will be really easy to reach either with the minivan or on foot, the very heart of the city: the Square of the Dome of Florence. You will be surely captured by the beautiful Gothic style of the Dome, Baptistery and Bell Tower by Giotto.
After that it will be time for lunch. You can choose if getting something to eat on your way or having a proper wonderful Italian lunch in one of the great reasonable restaurants that are in that area.
Right next to the place where we normally suggest our customers where to eat for its cheap prices and good food, there is a very picturesque and nice open market called Market of Saint Lorenz also useful for a little stroll that will surely help you digest.
The second part of the day will be for another side of the city.
We sill start from Ponte Vecchio, the most famous bridge in town whose location and look are literally amazing. Right on the bridge there are plenty of jewellery stores and vendors but that obviously is not the main purpose for its importance whatsoever.
Before heading back to the port there will also time to visit Santa Croce Basilica, a church famous for hosting the tombs of Michelangelo and Macchiavelli and for the magnificent frescoes by Giotto and Gaddi and Taddeo. Then back to the hotel in Rome.
